Healing That Goes Beneath the Surface

Psychotherapy at Intimare is grounded in the belief that meaningful healing often begins beyond what is immediately visible. While distress can feel overwhelming in the moment, we understand that what brings people to therapy is often connected to deeper patters, experiences, and longings.

Our work invites individuals and couples to slow down, feel safe, and explore what lies beneath with care, compassion, and faith.

We draw from approaches including:

  • Attachment-based

  • Christian Counselling

  • Cognitive Behavioural (CBT)

  • Culturally Sensitive

  • Emotionally Focused

  • Gottman Method

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)

  • Narrative

  • Strength-Based

  • Trauma Focused

Our Approach

Our psychotherapy practice is trauma-informed, relational, and strength-based. We integrate evidence-based modalities with Christian values, holding space for emotional, relational, and spiritual healing.

Faith is thoughtfully integrated. Prayer, Scripture, and spiritual reflection are welcomed when meaningful to you, while always honouring your autonomy, dignity, and personal journey.

Our Services

Couples Therapy - $250

Restoring Connection and Trust

Our work helps couples move beyond surface-level conflict toward deeper understanding, empathy, intimacy, and mutual connection.

Relationships often struggle not because love is absent, but because fear, miscommunication, and unmet needs have taken its place. Couples therapy at Intimare focuses on creating safety so that connection can be rebuilt.

Couples therapy may support:

  • Communication breakdowns and recurring conflict

  • Emotional distance or disconnection

  • Trust repair and relational wounds

  • Navigating faith, values, or life transitions together

  • Sexual intimacy concerns including desire differences, disconnection, avoidance, shame or changes related to stress, life transitions, or past experiences. We approach sexual intimacy as an important and meaningful part of the relationship, one that is deeply connected to emotional safety, trust, vulnerability, and communication. Conversations about sex are held with care, respect, and sensitivities to each couple’s values and beliefs.

Individual Therapy - $190

Space for Personal Healing and Growth

This is not about fixing who you are, it is about supporting who you are becoming.

Individual therapy offers a compassionate space to explore what feels heavy, confusing, or unresolved. Many individuals come to therapy carrying anxiety, emotional overwhelm, or patterns that no longer serve them.

Individual therapy may support:

  • Anxiety, stress, or emotional regulation

  • Relationship patterns and attachment wounds

  • Life transitions, identity, or faith-related questions

  • Healing from past experiences

Premarital Counselling - $250

Preparing for a Marriage Built to Last

Our goal is to help couples enter marriage with clarity, confidence, and a strong foundation.

Premarital counselling at Intimare is intentional, relational, and faith-centred. Rather than focusing only on the wedding day, we help couples prepare for the realities of marriage with honesty and care.

Premarital counselling may include:

  • Communication and conflict styles

  • Expectations around marriage, family, and finances

  • Emotional and physical intimacy

  • Shared faith, values, and long-term vision

What Therapy Can Look Like

Healing unfolds at your pace, in a space designed for care and respect.

Psychotherapy may involve:

  • Exploring emotional patterns and relational dynamics

  • Understanding how past experiences shape present responses

  • Developing healthier ways of communicating and coping

  • Cultivating safety, trust, and connection
